What is a Wingle?
A wingle (like the MF79U) is a USB modem with built-in WiFi hotspot. It plugs into USB for power and internet, then broadcasts WiFi so multiple phones, tablets, and laptops can connect wirelessly. Regular USB modems (MF831, MF833) only provide internet to the computer they’re plugged into.
How to Unlock
Find Your IMEI
- Insert the modem into your computer’s USB port
- Open the ZTE management software or go to 192.168.0.1
- Go to Device Information and copy the 15-digit IMEI
Purchase and Enter Code

- Enter IMEI and email, complete payment
- Insert a non-original SIM into the modem
- Enter the code when prompted — modem is permanently unlocked
