Steps to Unlock Your Huawei B610, B612, B618, B622, B625, B628, B636, B715, B716, or B818 Router
Access the Router’s Web Interface:
- Connect your router to your computer or smartphone via Ethernet/LAN cable or Wi-Fi.
- Open a browser and go to
192.168.8.1
to access the router’s dashboard. - Log in using the default credentials (usually “admin” for both username and password).
Locate the IMEI Number:
- Once logged in, navigate to the “Device Information” or “About” section.
- Find the IMEI number and note it down or copy it for the next step.
Purchase Your Unlock Code:
- Visit Huawei V5 Unlock Code page and provide your router’s IMEI number, email address, and payment information to purchase an unlock code.
- After completing the purchase, wait for the unlock code to be sent to your email.
Insert a Different SIM Card:
- Power off your router.
- Insert a SIM card from a different network provider.
- Restart the router.
Input the Unlock Code:
- Log back into the router’s web interface (

). - A prompt will appear asking for the unlock code.
- Enter the unlock code that was sent to your email and submit it.
APN Configuration (if necessary):
- After unlocking, you may need to configure the Access Point Name (APN) settings for the new network.
